West of Clifton Beach

West of Clifton Beach

There is a very pretty stretch of rocks and tiny hidden coves just at the western end of Clifton Beach. It's only a few hundred meters from where you park the car, but getting there does require a short stretch of knee-deep wading, unless the tide is fully out. But it's a gorgeous spot, and well worth the cold feet. I took this shot during a calm, clear winter's sunrise.
